Most of Dr. Angel Marchev’s formal education is related to various financial topics. The only thing we could not say for him though is that he is a rigid financial expert. He is a proof that life-long learning can lead you to different professional areas and show you various view points. Angel is a lead professor in Financial Markets and Instruments and Serious Games in Management and is one of the first professors in Bulgaria to use gamification and simulations in education. In addition to games, Angel’s students implement various projects, solve cases, deliver reports and presentations that provide them with a wide span of activities and support them in building lasting, real, and specific knowledge. Dr. Angel Marchev’s lectures are very motivating because they describe real historical events with a deep sense of humor. He uses a modular approach to teaching, and even after 8 hours at the university, students leave the room smiling. He does not demand from his students, but uses B.F. Skinner’s model for entirely positive feedback. One thing we can state with certainty – there is no other professor in Bulgaria whose study halls are always crowded!
